Are changes in strength, balance, or daily activities a normal part of aging?

Many older adults assume changes like difficulty getting up from a chair, feeling less steady while walking, or needing more effort to complete daily tasks are simply part of getting older. However, these changes may be signs that additional support could help. 

Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy can address challenges with strength, balance, mobility, communication, memory, and everyday activities to help older adults maintain independence and continue doing what they enjoy. 

If you’ve noticed changes in your abilities, talk with your doctor to see if therapy may be right for you.
