There are beautiful, shared spaces for residents to enjoy throughout Heritage Pointe of Huntington. And in just about every single one, there’s a lovely, festive Christmas tree. Nineteen, to be exact.
In celebration of the holidays, the team at Heritage Pointe of Huntington senior living community has been busy setting up the trees and decorating them. With the exception of one, which is decorated with a nod to Taylor Swift, there are no themes, only bright and merry ornaments and lights.
“it’s our own Festival of Trees,” said Brad Fuller, activities director. Residents throughout the retirement community eagerly watch the decorating and will even pitch in and help. Although setting up the decorations is not a specific planned program for the residents, Brad admitted there is typically singing going on, usually led by him. Afterward, he said, residents and their loved ones joyfully view each of the trees. Throughout the month, he added, ”We’ll have music programs, parties, church services, and special outside groups coming to share caroling and gifts. Our community loves celebrating Christmas.”
