Tom Nuss has high praise for the staff at Heritage Pointe, who encourage residents to participate in art classes and other activities that enrich their minds and lives. “We have an activity director who’s very good,” he said. “Whatever one wants to do –within limits—is possible. They are very supportive.” Still able to continue to do what he loves; he said his overall assessment of assisted living at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne is that “it is a premiere senior living community.”
Gary Alexander and his wife Linda moved to Heritage Pointe of Warren almost two years ago, and they are enjoying their new home. “We’ve made great friends,” he said. “And you can participate in as much or as little as you want, but the more you participate, the more you get out of living here. It’s great.”
The Herrons appreciate the Christian-based philosophy that’s followed at Heritage Pointe of Warren, which encourages a sense of family and unity. “From the CEO on down, the staff here cares for us,” Fred said. “We’re a priority for them.”
“If you need anything, help is right here,” Sandra Schwartzkopf said. “You feel secure. It’s like living in a small town with anything you need close by the campus.”
Doris Kline came for what was to have been a three-month respite stay. “After three months, I didn’t want to leave,” she said, adding, “It gets better and better.” Doris has now lived at Heritage Pointe of Huntington for ten years.
